ADP’s editors insist on their editorial independence and strive to ensure that authors have the freedom to determine the content of their own work. The decision and responsibility for acceptance or rejection of submissions rests solely with the editors.
The editors will assess manuscripts only on their scholarly merit. Editors will not indulge in personal or ideological bias.
The editors will not engage in any practice that gives rise to a conflict of interest or the reasonable perception of one.
The journal employs a rigorous double-blind review process in which confidentiality of authors and referees is strictly maintained. Editors and their editorial staff will not disclose information about a manuscript to anyone outside of this process.
Privileged information or ideas will be kept confidential and not used for personal advantage.
The editors commit to ensuring the prompt handling of all matters relating to the submission, review and publication process.
Editors have a responsibility to provide the author with an explanation of the editorial decision on a manuscript. Authors will receive editorial letters that bring together referee comments, with additional suggestions on how the article can be made fit for publication.
